Port Chester  is one mile away from Rye Beach. A waterfront facing Long Island Sound  with a beach and a pool. The beach is public but, offers special seasonal discount on passes to the beach and parking for the residents of Rye Town that include: The City of Rye, The Village of Port Chester, The Village of Rye Brook and part of Rye Neck. Rye Beach  is annexed to  Playland  (the well renown landmark) with a variety of rides for the entire family;  "The Dragon" is the oldest rollercoaster on the East Coast.  Playland has a lot of entertainment that includes miniature golf, boat rentals, shooting galleries, arcades and schedule presentation of entertainers such as: comedians, singers and bands as well as fireworks in the weekend. There are plenty food shops  and barbecue area. During the winter months  Playland changes into an ice ring used for practices by The New York Ranger.
